West Hills Covenant Church is participating in the Grauer Back-to-School Project. You can find a drop-off bin for supplies in the Fellowship Hall.

Needs List
Help us outfit 400 kids for a great start to a new school year. We need 8,400 pencils, plus the other school supplies and clothing “basics” listed below. Donations are needed by Sunday, August 7th, 2016.

MORE DETAILS ON THE PROJECT
The Grauer Back-To-School Project began at St Luke Lutheran Church in 2001 to carry on Grace and Marion Grauer’s giving spirit toward kids.
Today, Grauer is a vital partnership of SW Portland churches, businesses, and Neighborhood House, dedicated to helping low-income SW Portland families start the new school year with school supplies and new clothing for their children
Event details:
Ages served: kindergarten through high school
Eligibility: Students eligible for the federal free/reduced lunch program.
Geographic area: Portland Public Schools in SW Portland that are part of the Wilson High cluster. School ID or report card is required.
Distribution Day:
Saturday, August 13 – 8am until 11am
Hayhurst Elementary – 5037 SW Iowa St. (This year only, due to construction)
• Each student will receive:
- Packet of new, grade-appropriate school supplies
- New backpack
- New athletic shoes
- New socks
- New coat or jacket
- New underwear and t-shirt
